Apple Crumble

Ingredients :

Plain flour (Maida)                                          ¾ cup
Salt                                                                 a pinch
Butter                                                             6 tbsp
Brown Sugar                                                   ¾ cup
Peeled and sliced Apples                                 3 cups
Cinnamon (Dalchini) powder                           ½ tsp
Lemon Juice                                                    ¼ tsp


Serves : 4
Cooking Time : 9 minutes
Method :
  • Sieve the flour and salt together into a bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs.  
  • Add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and mix well.  Keep the flour-brown sugar mixture aside.
  • Spread 1/2 the apple slices evenly in a shallow microwave safe dish of 100 mm diameter and 37 mm deep.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/8 tsp of cinnamon powder, 1/8 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of water evenly over it.  Cover with a microwave safe lid and microwave on High for 2 minutes.
  • Top of 1/2 the flour-brown sugar mixture, press well and microwave on High for 2.5 minutes.
  • Repeat the steps 3 to 5 to make one more batch.
  • Serve immediately.
